"Paris is always a good idea." Audrey Hepburn

If you haven't read our blog, yet, please go the first post from 6/12/2011 (Rome, Venice, and Tuscany) and read your way through it up until today and then follow along as we update it as the trip progresses in late May!

You can also go to the beginning of the 2013 Trip (Rome and Tuscany) or the beginning of the 2015 Trip (Paris, Tuscany, and Venice).

The home bases for this trip will be Paris, Greve in Chianti, and another bucket list location Cinque Terre. And as always, there will be plenty of day trips planned in between.

Each time that we travel, we become better travelers, so here are our trinkets of knowledge from the last trip:

#1: Take less luggage... again:  This was a goal the last two times, but it is essential this time due to the remote location of Cinque Terre.

#2: When you order the cheese platter in France, you do not get to eat the whole cheese platter.

#3: Buses in Greve don't run on Sundays.

#4: Despite what everyone tells you at the Champagne house, you can't ship wine out of France.

#6: Eat before you get past the security checkpoint at the Paris airport, because there is nothing to eat while waiting to board your plane. In addition, you need to show your airline ticket to buy a snack at a sundry shop in the airport.
